Convenient Care Options at Mayo Clinic Health System

In addition to in-person appointments and consultations, you have numerous option to receive care at home or another comfortable location. These options offer high-quality care and can be great options for appointments before, after or in place of in-person care.

Options include:

Patient portal

With a patient portal account, you can view your lab results, medication, and immunization lists, communicate with your care team through secure messages, and refill prescriptions. You can also directly schedule, manage and view upcoming appointments.

Log in or sign up for an account.

Check Symptoms

Check Symptoms is an online assessment tool within the patient portal that allows patients to answer a series of targeted questions to evaluate symptoms and receive a care recommendation.

Express Care Online

Mayo Clinic Express Care Online offers quick, convenient care for common conditions to patients ages 18 months through 75, unless otherwise noted.

To access Express Care Online, you need to be a Mayo Clinic or a Mayo Clinic Health System patient with a patient portal account. If you don't have an account, sign up online. You also should be physically located in or a resident of Iowa, Minnesota or Wisconsin.

Nurse Line

The Nurse Line is a convenient way to access around-the-clock advice from our team of expert and caring registered nurses. We'll help you get the right care for your needs, often without ever having to leave your home. Visit the Nurse Line page to find the phone number for your location.

Mobile health clinic

Whether you're seeking routine or preventive care, we have convenient, safe options available, including virtual or in-person appointments with mobile clinic care.

The mobile health clinic travels to these Minnesota locations: Blooming Prairie, Butterfield, Kenyon and Sherburn.

On-site video appointments

On-site video appointments can be used when your can't or prefer not to conduct a video visit at home but are open to coming to one of our locations to be seen by a provider from another Mayo Clinic Health System site or specialist from Mayo Clinic in Rochester. This reduces the need to travel long distances and still enables you to receive care close to home.

Talk to your provider if you're interested in an on-site video appointment.

Video appointments

Video appointments are another way we provide your care. You can start one from home, or another comfortable location, on a computer or mobile device by using your Patient Online Services account.
